We are here to experience God through Prayer.  To know God through Study.  to Glorify God with our Action and to share the Love of Christ.

The Purpose of EXCEL

 

EXCEL is a laity education program for Christian Renewal.  Renewal means bring new life, new vitality and new effectiveness to local congregations through members who attend the weekend exercise.  EXCEL stimulates, motivates and prepares people.  It builds up and encourages people to do all these things which help the church remain alive as a living body of Christ.  EXCEL teaches tools to sustain Christian Life.  Prayer, Study and Action, plus sharing with others is encouraged to build stronger relationships with God and congregational members.

 

EXCEL attempts to get people in the church to be informed about what is fundamental to being a Christian and who WANT with their hearts to LIVE In Union With God and to SHARE HIS Life with others. 

 

The word "Fundamental' is used for good reason.  EXCEL does not say that Living In Union With God and working to bring others to God is all that is needed.  It does say that this is the basis for everything else in Christian Life.  Everything else must be built upon this.

 

EXCEL give people not only a message, but also a method of sharing which allows them to turn their own lives into effective means of Christian Renewal for themselves and their church.  Continued sharing after the exercise helps keep Life In Union With God ever-conscious, growing and effective.

 

EXCEL is meant to provide for the church apostles who are attempting to live a Christian Life which can affect all aspects of the church and society.  It is meant to supplement spiritual foundations and unity and thus bring about a continual Christian Renewal.
