Dear Blessed,
Just imagine becoming alive in Christ, involved and active within Christ, yourself and those around you! Imagine fellow congregants becoming active and live in the church and community!
Excel Ministries is a laity led ministry and has local teams throughout the world. I have personally been part of Excel since 2001 and I may live in Houston, I have traveled to other cities as well as South Africa to deliver the teachings of the Excel ministry and stand in awe of how Christ works in so many lives.
Excel’s main focus is “Living in Union with Christ,” and since Excel is a non-denominational ministry we focus on the teachings of Christ and believe that all of God’s children are welcome, just as God’s table is open to all God’s children.
Through prayer you will learn to experience God, though study learn more about God and through all our actions we share the love of Christ. Excel’s call to ministry is to “Make a Friend, Be a Friend and share Christ with your Friend. These are just a few of the topics discussed and presented during the transforming, personal, weekend.
Before my first Excel retreat, I was the congregant who was the last to arrive, sat in the back and was the first to leave. I was the citizen who read the news and just sat back and watched. I was the one who was hurting and saw hurt around me, yet did not know how to respond. Now, I am a very active and intricate part of my church and my community. Excel has shown me God’s Spirit and Grace, and opened me up to Christ, myself and others.
To learn more about Excel please visit the Houston’s team’s website at http://www.exceofthearmadillo.org which includes video clips to help explain the weekend in more detail, and then visit the Excel Ministries international website at http://www.excelinternational.org/ministry.html which describes the world-wide organization. And most informative of all, seek out one of the hundreds of graduates of this exciting journey.
Looking forward to meeting you at your next Excel Retreat!
Yours in Christ and many blessings,
Ron Reeser
